Pearsall Silk

Pearsall’s is well known for "Filoselle," a 6-strand silk floss. This is a filament thread of finest quality with a beautiful sheen. Filoselle is perfect for embroidery, needlepoint, heirloom sewing, counted thread and smocking. The Royal School of Needlework has a long tradition of using Pearsall’s silks.

Persall's Silks are an excellent choice for Chinese Silk Embroidery. Not only does Persall's contain the subtle color ranges needed for blending which play an essential role in creating the delicate finish and fine color shadings that are characteristic of traditional Chinese Embroidery, but the individual strands can easily be split into fine filaments necessary for Chinese Embroidery.
